A Seattle-born and raised queer descendant of Vietnamese Immigrants.
I grew up around cameras thanks to my father documenting every family gathering and celebration. Ever since, it has been embedded into my purpose to capture the memories unfolding and to tell the stories untold.
From taking pictures of anything that caught my eye with my first digital camera in 5th grade, handling my first DSLR for my high school yearbook, encapsulating fond memories of family and friends throughout the years, to pursuing professional work in 2016 and finding my first mentor—I've learned what it truly means to be able to harness the light that surrounds us with my own two hands.
From humble beginnings and working with local businesses like Phin Coffee, Hood Famous Cafe, and Adana, to working for DARPA, EeeeeatsCon, SecretLab, Tedx, and more—my journey is nowhere near finished.
I began my journey taking portraits for student dances and seniors. I have done all kinds of shoots since. My first mentor, Truong Nguyen of TNP, allowed me to dive into weddings, family portraits, food, corporate, & live events. Most importantly, he showed me the importance of showing up as a human being and friend at the forefront of my business. Just before the pandemic hit, I decided to move into professional video work as well. I then continued on post-pandemic to reconnect and work with Lexscope Productions, including marketing his underground film festival, Scope Screenings. Having entered a kindred Seattle creative community and additionally volunteering with the Vietnamese Student Association as media, I found myself connected to my home and community more than ever. Taking a step further, working with Robert Winkle Photography has led to exciting opportunities, being able to confidently step up as a Director of Photography. Working with Rob reminded me to stay humble in the process of it all and that there's always something new to learn.
Above all—capturing nature, the still world, laughter & memories are the core fuel of my endeavors allowing me to keep my passion alive.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work and getting to know me better.
Thank you for being here.
